There sits inside you a secret. You have the ability to sense and somehow know things about others; things that they would like to keep hidden, or perhaps don't even know of themselves. The few times you've attempted to use this ability, it has gone horribly wrong.

You have spent your life trying to keep this a secret. People tell stories of what the government does about people like you. To people like you. Rumors of a derelict ship, in orbit above a dead planet circling a dying sun.

And to push your fears to their apex, you're about to find out how true these stories are.

CONTENT WARNING:
Disturbing imagery descriptions and potentially unsettling sensations.
The audio atmosphere and text descriptions could be triggering for some people.

Play with caution.

This is a non-linear text-based adventure exploring the idea of being different, being hated, and feeling alone.  There are many things that could cause a human to feel these emotions, and this is intended to be an allegory for experiences that I've been through and believe that many others have felt that have indeed made us feel like this. This may not be a perfect allegory, but I'm nonetheless proud of what I've accomplished.

This is technically an open beta - the story isn't quite where I want it to be, but has reached a conclusion. In the future, I hope to add a few other endings allowing players to reach a conclusion to the story that closely mimics the way they would respond to these events, or already have responded to similar, uncoded events in their own lives. I would also like to add some additional effects and music. I will post a devlog if this does happen.
